About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Risk Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and oversight of the enterprise-wide risk management framework, policies, programs, processes, and systems. This includes managing and monitoring risk exposure across all banking and financial services activities. The Chief Risk Officer will also be tasked with integrating risk management into strategic goal setting and business planning, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and establishing a risk appetite framework. The role involves direct communication with the Board of Directors, serving as a primary liaison, and providing clear direction on risk management strategies. Applicants for the Chief Risk Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management or compliance within the financial industry is required, along with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to manage and develop personnel. Proficiency in MS Office is expected, and the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is essential. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to influence and contribute to the company's growth objectives.
