Position Overview:

Quality "Plus" Services ((QPS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Project Manager to oversee and execute complex industrial electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This leadership role requires exceptional coordination with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all phases of industrial electrical projects.
  • Define project scope, establish timelines, and develop detailed budgets.
  • Manage procurement of materials, services, and equipment to meet project needs.
  • Align engineering designs with project goals through collaborative reviews.

Project Execution & Oversight

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical systems (power distribution, control systems, wiring, etc.).
  • Supervise field crews, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure schedule compliance.
  • Enforce company safety protocols and compliance with OSHA, NEC, and other industry regulations.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Monitor project costs, maintain financial oversight, and prevent budget overruns.
  • Generate cost estimates, prepare change orders, and deliver budget reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Provide timely updates and status reports to senior leadership and clients.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between engineering, field, and administrative teams.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain detailed project records, including contracts, permits, and changes.
  • Ensure all work aligns with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Manage inspections and ensure all certifications and permits are obtained as required.

Risk Management & Problem-Solving

  • Proactively identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve technical challenges encountered during execution.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure systems are fully tested for performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing electrical projects, preferably within industrial or semiconductor environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and industrial installation standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and relevant safety and electrical codes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and green building standards.
