Job Posting: Logistics Associate (Healthcare Environment)

Location: Commack, NY

Pay Rate: $23–25/hour

Contract: 3 Months (with possible extension)

Schedule: Full-time, onsite

About the Role

We are seeking a Logistics Associate to join our healthcare operations team in Commack, NY. This role plays a critical part in supporting both supply distribution and facility operations across clinical and non-clinical areas. The ideal candidate will bring logistics or supply chain experience within a healthcare environment (or related industry) and a strong commitment to supporting patient care through efficient and reliable supply management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Order, distribute, and maintain adequate levels of medical supplies, equipment, and linens according to established par levels.
  2. Collaborate with administrative and clinical leadership on supply and equipment needs to ensure cost efficiency and high-quality patient care.
  3. Coordinate with vendors and facility support teams (Plant Operations, Facilities, Safety, and Environmental Services) to maintain safe and fully functional workspaces.
  4. Ensure all supply areas—nurse servers, medication rooms, supply closets, treatment and exam rooms, labs, patient areas, and administrative spaces—are fully stocked and maintained.
  5. Assist with equipment and supply selection, ensuring items meet clinical standards and patient care requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in environments with varying conditions (e.g., cold storage in Food & Nutrition).
  • Will consider candidates with limited logistics experience, but background in healthcare supply chain or related field strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare logistics role .
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and best practices in supply chain operations.
